Over 20,000 people visited the Armed Forces Pavilion at the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair this weekend, breaking any previous record.

Since Sunday 10:00 a.m. and especially after the transmission of the programme “With Virtue and Boldness”, thousands of people, regardless of age, were shown around the Pavilion’s rooms and had the opportunity to operate the controls of a Chinook helicopter, to ‘fly’ an F16 aircraft through a simulator, to execute “simulated” fires from a tank and be introduced into a wide range of exhibits and activities.

Implementing the message “Together Always”, projected through the Armed Forces Social Contribution Year, members from all Staffs provided the visitors with a detailed briefing on the operational actions, the new methods and the innovative tools applied in training.

The young friends of the Armed Forces were also enthusiastic, since they had the opportunity to turn into “commandos” for a few minutes through face painting, and practice on a specifically organised obstacle course.

The visitors were also “mesmerised” by the informative workshops, which project the many-sided action of the Armed Forces. On Tuesday, 10 September 2019, at 16:30 p.m. the third workshop will be conducted, under the title “Leadership and Self-Improvement Practices”, where current methods of personnel evaluation and manpower management will be presented.
