Directorate of Defence Programs and Principle Contracts

The Directorate of Defence Programs and Contracts (DDPC) is responsible for: 

A. The drawing up and the and implementation until completion of Defence Procurement Contracts, and 

B. The coordination of the Hellenic Armed Forces General Staffs (Army, Navy, Air Force) regarding the defence procurement, such as the follow on support of the weapon systems and the procurement of non-significant defence equipment.

DDPC consists of six main departments: 

a. The Department of Army (Armament Programs & Contracts) implements the armament programs and contracts of the Hellenic Army (Ground Weapon Systems, Main Battle Tanks, Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Ground Communications and Electronic Warfare Systems), as well as of ground defence equipment of all three services of the Hellenic Armed Forces (Light Arms, Ammunition, Ground Vehicles). 

b. The Department of Navy (Armament Programs & Contracts) implements the armament programs and contracts of the Hellenic Navy (War Ships, Submarines, Naval Weapons, Naval Communications and Electronic Warfare Systems), as well as of naval defence equipment of all three services of the Hellenic Armed Forces. 

c. The Department of Air Force (Armament Programs & Contracts) implements the armament programs and contracts of the Hellenic Air Force (Fighter Aircraft, Transport Airplanes and Helicopters, Aircraft Weapons, Airborne Communications and Electronic Warfare Systems), as well as of airborne defence equipment of all three services of the Hellenic Armed Forces. 

d. The Contracts & Price Audit Department is responsible for the archives of the main contracts master copies, the monitoring of the Joint Mid-Term Plan for Defence Investment and the cash flows of the payment of main contracts, as well as for conducting price audit of an armament program, either prior to the contract award or during the execution of a contract.

e. The Contracts Monitoring Department monitors the main contracts and coordinates the suppliers and all involved agencies of the Hellenic Military Services for the flawless implementation of the contracts.

f. The Non-Significant Procurements Department coordinates the procurements of non-significant defence equipment, which are implemented at the sole responsibility of the Hellenic Armed Forces General Staffs (Army, Navy, and Air Force).
