As soon as the political leadership of the Ministry of National Defence took cognisance of the call for tenders by the Air Support Command concerning the catering service providing in the flights of government aircraft, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos directly demanded its annulment. Henceforward, such services for the support of transportations of the state and political leadership will be assumed by an Air Force service.
On this occasion, it is announced that the use of government aircraft has been limited to a minimum and is only approved in special cases and whenever it is demanded by the national nature of the mission.
