On Thursday, 25 July 2019, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited the Supreme Joint War College and the Corps Officers Military Academy in Thessaloniki.

During his visits, the Deputy Minister was briefed on the organisation, mission, role, prospects, and activities, as well as on the level and goals of the joint training they provide.

He also addressed the personnel, noting the particular emphasis that will be laid by the new political leadership of the Ministry of National Defence on the critical force multiplier of the Armed Forces that is personnel training, which is a pillar of the Ministry's defence policy,followed by discussions and an exchange of views with the College and Academy Commands for undertaking innovative actions, preparing new curricula, and implementing new training methods for a substantial upgrade and comprehensive approach of the matter.

Furthermore, they discussed ways to enhance their cooperation with the country's academia, as well as with similar foreign educational institutions, within the framework of international cooperations.
