“This is the second day of NATO Defence Ministers meeting. We had a broad discussion regarding the future of the Alliance. Greece is one of the countries that have completely fulfilled the prerequisites of the Alliance, by using the new capabilities available in many areas of the country, the deployment of allied forces in Volos, Larissa, Alexandroupoli and, very soon, in Kalamata with the aircraft training centre.
Greece is now an area of stability in the Mediterranean and in the wider area of the Balkans. The officials of our permanent representation, our diplomatic and military delegation have done excellent job. I believe that their hard work will enhance our country’s place in the wider area.”
