The Alternate Minister of National Defence Panagiotis Rigas and the Alternate Minister of Health Pavlos Polakis signed a joint ministerial decision, regarding the assignment of ten (10) enlisted doctors to Regional Clinics and Health Centres, in remote regions of the country.

These enlisted doctors have the opportunity to have their military service period also credited as rural service period, at the expense of the Ministry of Health.

The enlisted doctors are specifically assigned to: Sikinos Regional Clinic, Tilos Regional Clinic, Kallithea Health Centre (Samos island), Archontochorio Health Centre, under the responsibility of Mytika Health Centre (Aitoloakarnania prefecture), Vasilikades Regional Clinic, under the responsibility of Sami Health Centre (Kefallonia island), Kefallonia Airport Special Regional Clinic, Kallianio Health Centre, under the responsibility of Tropaia Health Centre (Arcadia prefecture), Valaora Health Centre, under the responsibility of Dyt. Fragista Health Centre (Evrytania prefecture), Chrysomilia Regional Clinic (Ikaria island) and Artotina Health Centre (Fokida prefecture).
