Compliance status

This website complies with the accessibility requirements of Article 39 of Law 4727/2020, in accordance with the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 (2021-03) and the WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) standard.

Specifically, the website has incorporated the UserWay service website accessibility widget, which is powered by a special accessibility server (offering a series of functions for use by persons with disabilities, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor-function impairment). 

Preparation of this accessibility statement

An evaluation of the manner in which the website complies with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the European standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 (2021-03), and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines (Level A and Level AA) was conducted:

  • by self-assessment carried out by the  IT Department
  • using the WAVE Evaluation Tool and Includia Accessibility Checker

The declaration was last revised on 16 July 2025.

Inaccessible content

In accordance with case (e) of Article 37(3) of Law 4727/2020, the content of third-party websites is excluded. This case also relates to third-party websites outside the mod.mil.gr which are accessible through links.

The  IT Department ensures that the accessibility of the website is subjected to continuous improvement, always with the aim of ensuring equal and uninterrupted use by all, regardless of physical abilities or available technology.

In an ongoing effort to improve and remedy any accessibility issues, we regularly scan the respective website with the UserWay accessibility scanner to identify and correct any potential accessibility barriers to the site. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on the site and app fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 42(4)(b) and Article 45(1) of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 184 23-09-2020), all interested parties have the right to submit comments or applications for information on the current status of compliance or to submit an application for missing information.
