The Deputy Minister of National Defence ALKIVIADIS STEFANIS went to Thessaloniki, on Tuesday 6 April 2021, where he had a series of visits and meetings.
He visited the 424 General Military Training Hospital, where he met with the Commander, Brigadier General GEORGIOS GOUVAS, and discussed with the medical and nursing
personnel, in the context of tackling the pandemic.
Afterwards, he went to 113 Combat Wing, where the Historic Military Vehicle Association has its office, and observed the refurbishing works on the M8 armoured vehicle.
He met with the MP of A’ District of Thessaloniki Ms ELENA RAPTI, with whom he examined the course of the plan regarding the information of military and civilian personnel on matters concerning child sex-abuse.
Finally, he had meetings with the MP of A’ District of Thessaloniki Mr. DIMITRIOS KOUVELAS, and the Dean of the University of Macedonia, Professor Mr. STYLIANOS KATRANIDIS, where matters of development of the Armed Forces’ property, in the framework of a broader cooperation with the University of Thessaloniki, were discussed.
