The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias visited, on Wednesday 3 November 2021, the International Defence and Security Exhibition “FEINDEF 2021” (FERIA INTERNACIONAL DE DEFENSA Y SEGURIDAD) which is held in Madrid until 5 November, under the auspices of Spain’s Ministry of Defence.
During this visit, the Deputy Minister of National Defence attended the opening ceremony, he toured the pavilions, and met and conversed with exhibitors about their production materiel.
In the exhibition, defence and security materiel of state-of-the-art technology, and the manner of its application, are presented.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence had a scheduled official meeting with his Spanish counterpart Ms. Esperanza Casteleiro Llamazares, with whom they discussed subjects pertinent to the reinforcement of the cooperation of both countries in matters of defence and security at a bilateral level, as well as in the context of European Union and NATO programmes.
In parallel, they agreed to establish a joint work group between the two Ministries tasked to consider additional possibilities for cooperation in the fields of operations and defence industry.
At the sidelines of the exhibition, the Deputy Minister also met and discussed with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, responsible for executive affairs, Dr. Khaled Hussain Saleh Al-Biyari, with the Deputy Defence Minister of the Czech Republic for Industrial Cooperation Ms. Radka Konderlova and the Chief of Argentina’s Armed Forces General Juan Martín Paleo, who is of Greek descent.
