The Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, attended the oath-taking ceremony of the Hellenic Army Academy 1st Class Cadets, Class 2026 “Lieutenant General Tasos Markou”, which took place at the Hellenic Army Academy premises, Vari, Attica.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of HNDGS, General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of HAGS, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, Honorary Chiefs of HAGS, representatives of Chiefs of HNGS, HAFGS, NGGS and Security Forces, the members of the Supreme Military Council, active duty and retired general and senior Army Officers, as well as Armed Forces and Security Forces delegations.
The ceremony was also attended by his Beatitude Ieronymos II, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, the Mayor of Vari, Voula, and Vouliagmeni, Mr. Grigorios Konstantellos, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Kenevezos, Defence Attachés and members of foreign diplomatic missions to Greece, as well as cadets’ relatives and friends.
A total of 159 cadets took the oath of which 126 came from Greece, 26 Nfrom Cyprus, 2 from Tunisia, 1 from Armenia, 1 from Albania, 1 from Montenegro, 1 from Moldova, and 1 from Senegal.
