On Friday 12 September 2025, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis visited 417 Army Equity Fund Hospital. He was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Lieutenant General (ret.) Athanasios Dimitriadis and the Commander of the Hospital Andreas Plemmenos.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister was informed analytically on the progress and the capabilities of the Hospital, as well as the problems that the medical, nursing and administrative personnel face.

Mr. Davakis expressed his deep gratitude for the high level of services provided to the shareholders of the Army Share Fund, the members of the Armed Forces, their families, and the civilians. At the same time, he congratulated the Administration and the personnel of the Institution for their devotion and contribution.

Upon conclusion of the visit, the Deputy Minister stated:

“Today I had the opportunity to closely see the important work performed by 417 Army Equity Fund Hospital and discuss with the people who give their best every day.

This Hospital constitutes one of the basic pillars of the medical treatment for the members of the Armed Forces, their families and the whole society as well.

We discussed in detail on the problems that exist and I personally communicated with the political leadership with whom we share responsibility to find solutions. Our goal is to make sure that the Institution will continue to offer high level health services, and I commit myself that we will do whatever necessary to really support the Hospital and its personnel. The Political Leadership of the Ministry of National Defence helps in every possible way its further upgrade.

I want to congratulate the Administration, the medical, nursing and administrative personnel of the Army Equity Fund Hospital for their professionalism, dedication, devotion to duty and thank them for the welcoming and the briefing”.
