September 4, 2019

Would you like to pilot a Chinook? Fly an Apache? Try a free-fall parachute jump? Drive a Leopard 2 or taste the experience of aerial fire-fighting, risk-free?

At the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair, the Ministry of National Defence offers you the opportunity to have a taste of its operational activities and feel the thrill and  hardships of its everyday operations, as well as the combat-readiness of our Armed  Forces.

Pavillion 1 will include 14 VR simulators, simulating from shooting training, Underwater Demolition Team training, and F-16 flight to Hellenic Navy Helo Dunker underwater escape and SAR.

The visitors will also get the chance to meet, among others, the Landmine Field Clearance Battalion, the Mobile Disaster Response Team, and see part of the old Bailey Bridge of Axios, which will be displayed by the Design and Construction Unit.

At the same time, dozens of presentations and workshops on the activities of the Ministry of National Defence will be available, while the Pavillion will also include exhibits available to the public for the first time, such as the Kiowa helicopter.

There will also be a children’s combat course, a climbing-rapelling tower, as well as face painting.
