Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras attended the Blessing of Waters on the Epiphany (Friday, January 6, 2017) in Alexandroupoli, accompanied by the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas and the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis.

The Alternate Minister of National Defence said in his statement: “By attending this celebration, the Chief of HNDGS and I demonstrate the contribution of the Armed Forces to the development of this region, as well as their deterrence role. I can say that we are all alert and people all over Greece – Evros is a proof of this too – have nothing to worry about.”
