The Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas during his official visit to Paris met with the Minister of State attached to the Minister of Defence Jean-Marc Todeschini on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. During their meeting they discussed topics of mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries, as well as topics pertinent to the defence industry.
The Alternate Minister informed the French Minister of State about the management of the refugees-migrants’ issue, given France’s positive attitude towards the situation regarding the relocation of refugees, as well as regarding its quick response to the request for personnel assignment for the consideration of asylum applications.
The Alternate Minister of National Defence met also with Greece’s ambassador to France Maria Theofili during his visit in Paris.
Concluding his visit in Paris, the Alternate Minister in his statement said that the purpose of attending the exhibition “Eurosatory 2016” was to support the Greek defence industry and expressed his satisfaction with the manner in which Greek companies of this field are globally dealt with. He also stressed that the Hellenic Defence Systems and other Greek companies participating in the exhibition received specific proposals of cooperation.
