The Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas represented the government in the commemorative event for the 9th of May, End of World War II and day of Pan-Hellenic celebration of the National Resistance 1941-1944 against Nazism and fascism. The Alternate Minister of National Defence attended the Doxology held in Athens Cathedral and laid a wreath to the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.
