The Alternate Minister of National Defence Fofi Gennimata paid a visit to the C’ Army Corps/NRDC-GR in Thessaloniki, in the framework of the celebration for the 9th anniversary from the admission of the NRDC-GR by the North-Atlantic Council, considered as its inauguration day.
The Alternate Minister of National Defence was briefed upon the role and the operational capabilities of the C’ Army Corps, both at a national and at NATO level.
“NRDC-GR is not for us just the fulfillment of some of our national obligations. It is also our commitment towards the relations of true friendship and unbreakable alliance within the NATO”, noted the Alternate Minister in her speech.
She also added that:
“We are facing an unprecedented and multifaceted crisis. The cohesion of large organizations and the convergence among allies are threatened, new important fields of conflict are created and new threats arise.
From the situation in Ukraine to Iraq and Syria; our neighbourhood faces tense conditions, riots or declared war.
With a positive, creative, optimistic and innovative way of thinking, but mostly with determination, we can solve the seemingly unsolvable problems or contribute to this direction. NRDC-GR makes sure that we can deal with the crises when they are out of control”.
