The Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas attended on Tuesday 29 August 2017 at the Navy Officers Resort, at the South Euboean Gulf Naval Base, Agia Marina – Attica, the presentation of the educational programme by SAVE WATER SPORTS, concerning security at sea and water sports. The event was conducted after an initiative by the Alternate Minister of National Defence, with the support of HNGS.
The Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis, the Deputy Chief of HNGS Rear Admiral Ioannis Paxivanakis, the mayor of Marathon Ilias Psinakis and the mayor of Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni Grigoris Konstadellos attended the event.
The Alternate Minister of National Defence, while addressing the attendees, mentioned the importance of training and safety rules in the Armed Forces, especially in sea activities. He also remarked that knowledge and training with regards to safety at the sea and water sports concern people of all ages.
