On Thursday, 28 June 2018, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Fotis Kouvelis, accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited 691 Industrial Base Plant.
During the visit, he met and discussed with the Command staff, as well as with the military and civilian personnel of the Plant. The Alternate Minister of National Defence praised the role of the personnel, regarding the coverage of basic needs of all three services of the country’s Armed Forces.
This specific industrial unit’s main mission is the production of items for the coverage of maintenance needs of the Army and other services of the Armed Forces, as well as the production of medical and manufactured oxygen and nitrogen.
The activity of the aforementioned Plant will be reinforced, in the context of the decision regarding the productive reorganization of all industrial and productive units, which come under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of National Defence.
