Today Wednesday 26 July 2017, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas visited the Elefsis Shipyards accompanied by the HNDGS Chief Evangelos Apostolakis and the HN Chief Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis.  

During his visit he was briefed by the Elefsis Navy Echelon on the progress of the under construction missile boat Nrs 6 and 7. They were guided around the missile boat construction facilities. Then followed a discussion between the Alternate Minister and representatives of the employees and the visit was completed with his meeting with the Elefsis Shipyards Command.  

Then, the Alternate Minister and the military leadership boarded  an Underwater Demolition Command vessel accompanied the legendary battle ship “AVEROF” rendering honours during its resailing from the Skaramagkas Shipyards, following its maintenance works, to its permanent  mooring berth  at the Naval Tradition Park, at the Floisvos Marina.
