The Alternate Minister of National Defence Panagiotis Rigas, accompanied by the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, attended on Friday 15 March 2019 the assumption of command ceremony for the 98 “Archipelago” Higher National Guard Battalions Command by Major General Christos Poulianitis. The ceremony took place on the premises of the 98 Higher National Guard Battalions Command in Mytilini. Afterwards, the Alternate Minister and the Chief of HAGS visited the “PROVOSKIDA” Surveillance Outpost and the 265 Mechanised National Guard Battalion.
