On Monday, 13 May 2019, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Panos Rigas, accompanied by the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, visited the Headquarters of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands, where they were welcomed by the Commanding General of the Formation, Lieutenant General Georgios Dimitropoulos. The visit included a briefing on the role and mission of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands, while the Alternate Minister of National Defence stressed in his address the role of the personnel and the importance laid on this matter by the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence.
