The Alternate Minister of National Defence, Fotis Kouvelis, approved the assignment of an enlisted doctor to the Regional Clinic of Othoni, upon relevant request by the Alternate Minister of Health, Pavlos Polakis.
The decision for the assignment of this doctor, as well as of dozens of others who have been assigned to Regional Clinics and Health Centres in remote regions of the country, is part of the Armed Forces’ social contribution.
These enlisted doctors have the opportunity to have their military service period also credited as rural service period, at the expense of the Ministry of Health.
