Upon decision of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Giannis Kefalogiannis, a military doctor (ophthalmologist) was assigned to the General Hospital of Messinia in Kalamata, upon relevant request of the Ministry of Health.
The officer in question will be assigned to the hospital once per week for up to 30 days, if official duties permit.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Kefalogiannis, stated the following:
“With a sense of responsibility we continue to contribute to Public Health. We ensure equal access of citizens to the ultimate good of healthcare, proving with actions that the Armed Forces stand beside society, wherever and whenever necessary”.
