Upon decision of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Giannis Kefalogiannis, a military doctor of the 549th National Guard Battalion is assigned to the Health Centre of Symi for on-call duty upon relevant request of the Ministry of Health.
Within this framework, the officer will be assigned to the above Health Centre, without being exempted from his responsibilities and duties in his organic Unit, until 31 December 2024.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Kefalogiannis, stated the following:
“The Armed Forces stand beside society with actions, wherever and whenever necessary. With a sense of responsibility, we continue to contribute to Public Health and ensure equal access of citizens in remote areas to the ultimate good of healthcare”.
