Attendance of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias to the Memorial Service for the Remains of the Greek Fighters in Cyprus and to the Transportation of the Remains to the Dekeleia Air Base

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias will go to Cyprus today, Wednesday 24 November 2021, to attend, as a representative of the Hellenic Government, the ceremony of transportation of the remains of the seven Greek Fighters of Cyprus, found and identified in the context of the exhumation programme of the Missing Persons Investigative Committee and the corresponding programme of the Republic of Cyprus.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence will attend the memorial service and the presentation of medals to the relatives of the Heroes, on Thursday 25 November 2021, accompanied by the Chief of HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, at the Holy Church of God’s Wisdom, in Nicosia. After the end of the ceremonies, he will accompany the Heroes by military flight with a C-130 aircraft to the Dekeleia Air Base, where the official reception ceremony of their remains to the homeland will take place.
