The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Giannis Kefalogiannis, in the framework of the housing programme materialised by the Ministry of National Defence, signed today, Thursday 19 December 2024, the approval of the Record of the Supporting Documents Check and the award of fourteen (14) Competition Procedures for the construction of building complexes.
The decisions pertain to the construction of building complexes, in particular, five (5) on Lesbos, five (5) on Chios, five (5) on Rhodes, four (4) in Alexandroupoli, four (4) on Kos, three (3) on Limnos, three (3) on Samos and two (2) in Orestiada.
The total cost is approximately 43,7 million euros (VAT not included) while each building complex will include 13 apartments.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Giannis Kefalogiannis stated:
“We are rapidly materialising the largest housing programme in the history of the Armed Forces, beginning from Evros and the islands of the Eastern Aegean, as we had previously announced with the Minister Mr Dendias. We prove in deed that we stand by the side of our members and their families, indirectly increasing their income and acknowledging the noble mission they execute daily, for the defence of the territorial integrity and the rights of our Homeland”.
