The Minister of National Defence, Panos Kammenos, awarded the Star for Valor and Merit to the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Greece, Sultan Mohammed Majed Al Ali.
According to a unanimous decision of the Joint Chiefs of General Staff Council, upon recommendation of the Minister of National Defence, the Star for Valor and Merit was awarded for “his extraordinary actions and activities to the benefit of the Hellenic Armed Forces, which upgraded the level of co-operation with the Armed Forces of the UAE and contributed to the further strengthening of the relations between the two countries”.
The award ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou.
