The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief on Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou, awarded awards to Air Force and Army personnel. The Deputy Minister of National Defence Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha also attended the award ceremony.

A commendation to Captain (HAF) Kosmas Halaris, who, through his outstanding performance and distinction as “Best Warrior” in the “Tactical Leadership Program 2018”, which took place in Spain, demonstrated the excellent training and proficiency level of Air Force personnel.

A citation to Lieutenant Colonel (HAF) Vassilios Tsantilas, Captain (HAF) Spyridon Karelis, Captain (HAF) Spyridon Valsamis, Captain (HAF) Dimitrios Tsoubekas, and Lieutenant (HAF) Nikolaos Tsigros, who, through their outstanding performance in the “Tactical Leadership Program 2018”, which took place in Spain, demonstrated the high level of training and professionalism of Air Force personnel.

A commendation to Professional Soldier Sergeant Maria-Efrosyni Filakouri, who handed in a large sum of money she found to the authorities and proved that the Armed Forces personnel is characterised by high morale, ethos, and a sense of duty.
