Τhe Ministry of National Defence clarifies explicitly that yesterday’s press articles, referring to overflights conducted within Greece’s National Airspace by Turkish fighter aircraft which allegedly flew over Alexandroupolis up to Kavala – and, unfortunately, they are reproduced today as well – are absolutely false, if not directly subversive of our national interests at a particularly critical juncture.

It is outrageous to see Greek Media publishing stories about Turkish fighter aircraft flying up to a distance of approximately 100 nautical miles within the National Airspace and above land territory.

Any violations, breaches and overflights by Turkish fighter aircraft are recorded and the accredited reporters are informed about them on a daily basis, according to a long-established procedure.
