The Alternate Minister of National Defence Fotis Kouvelis signed a decision for the appointment of 13 conscript medical doctors in Regional Clinics (RC) and Healthcare Centres in remote areas of Greece, following relevant requests submitted by the Ministry of Education.

The medical doctors are offered the possibility to have their compulsory military service period recognized also as period of their rural service obligation. The expenditure will be borne by the Ministry of Health.

Medical doctors are appointed to the following areas: Lipsi RC, Tilos RC, Ierissos RC of Palaiochori Healthcare Centre, Agrafa RC, Raptopoulo RC, Stenoma RC of Dytiki Fragkista Healthcare Centre, Kontovazaina RC of Tropaia Healthcare Centre, Kampos Voion RC of Neapoli Healthcare Centre, Kalamos RC of Vasiliki Healthcare Centre, Spetses RC of Kranidi Healthcare Centre, Kasos RC, Karpathos airport RC and Karpathos Healthcare Centre.
