The Governmental Council on Foreign Policy and National Defence met today, Tuesday October 13 2015, chaired by the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, and decided the following:

1. Assigning Lieutenant Generals, Vice Admirals, Air Force Lieutenant Generals, as well as a Major General at a post of Lieutenant General, as follows:

a.      HELLENIC ARMY
 
 (1)     Lieutenant General Andreas Iliopoulos as Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands.
 
 (2)     Lieutenant General Dimitrios Thomaidis as HAGS A’ Deputy Chief.
 
 (3)     Major General Ioannis Papatheodossiou as HNDGS Chief of Staff.

b.     HELLENIC NAVY
 
 (1)    Vice Admiral Konstantinos Karageorgis HN, as Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet.
 
 (2)    Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, as Commander of the Hellenic National Defence College.
 
 (3)    Vice Admiral (Μech) Georgios Christopoulos HN (SN: Μ-568), as Commander of the Paymaster Command.

  c.      HELLENIC AIR FORCE
 
 (1)    Air Force Lieutenant General Georgios Parashopoulos, as Deputy Chief of HNDGS.
 
 
2. Preserving at their posts the Lieutenant Generals, Air Force Lieutenant Generals, as well as an Air Force Major General at a post of Air Force Lieutenant General, as follows:

a.        HELLENIC ARMY
 
(1)  Lieutenant General Nikolaos Devetzis, as HAGS Inspector General.
(2)  Lieutenant General Ioannis Iliopoulos, as Commander of A’ Army.
(3)  Lieutenant General Ilias Leontaris, as Commander of C’ Army Corps / NRDC-GR.
(4)  Lieutenant General Alexandros Oikonomou, as HAGS B’ Deputy Chief.
(5) Lieutenant General Nikolaos Zachariadis, as NATO MirRep.
(6) Lieutenant General Iosif Mavrakis, as Commander of D’ Army Corps.
(7) Lieutenant General Dimitrios Balafoutis, as Commander of the Higher Military Command of Army Support.

b.   HELLENIC AIR FORCE
 
(1)  Air Force Lieutenant General Christos Christodoulou, as Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force.
(2) Air Force Lieutenant General (Mech) Georgios Vorropoulos, as HAFGS Inspector General.
(3) Air Force Major General Symeon Astrinidis, as Commander of the Air Support Command.

Moreover, by decision of the Governmental Council on Foreign Policy and National Defence, the new President, the new Public Prosecutor and the new Vice Presidents of the Revisional Court, are appointed as follows:

Golemis Nikolaos, Reviser C’, President of the Revisional Court, is promoted to the rank of Reviser A’.

Zafeiropoulos Dimitrios, Reviser C’, Public Prosecutor of the Revisional Court, is promoted to the rank of Reviser A’.

Charizopoulos Konstantinos, Reviser B’, Vice President A’ of the Revisional Court.

Tounis Spyridon, Reviser C’, is promoted to the rank of Reviser B’ and is appointed as Vice President B’ of the Revisional Court.

Gogos Konstantinos, Reviser C’, is promoted to the rank of Reviser B’ and is appointed as Vice President C’ of the Revisional Court.
