Chaired by the Prime Minister Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Governmental National Security Council convened today at the Maximos Mansion, with the objective of extending the term of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and the selection of the new Chiefs of the Hellenic Army General Staff and the Hellenic Navy General Staff.
It was unanimously decided:
1. To extend the term of the Chief of HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros for another year.
2. To appoint Lieutenant General (INF) Angelos Houdeloudis as Chief of HAGS.
3. To appoint Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymousis as Chief of HNGS.
The outgoing Chiefs of HAGS and HNGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis and Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, who are promoted to the ranks of retired General and Admiral, are also awarded the honorary title of the Chief of HAGS and the Chief of HNGS, correspondingly.
