The Governmental Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence convened today under Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and decided on the following Lieutenant General, Vice Admiral, Lieutenant General (HAF), Major General, Rear Admiral and Major General (HAF) appointments:
a. HELLENIC ARMY
(1) Lieutenant General Nikolaos Manouris (Reg. Nr.: 44093) is appointed Army Inspector General and 2nd Deputy Chief HAGS.
(2) Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis (Reg. Nr.: 44498) is appointed Commanding General, Hellenic First Army.
(3) Lieutenant General Konstantinos Vasiliadis (Reg. Nr.: 44499) is appointed Commanding General, Higher Army Support Military Command.
(4) Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas (Reg. Nr.: 44514) is appointed Commanding General, D Army Corps.
(5) Lieutenant General Antonios Nomikos (Reg. Nr.: 44518) is appointed 1st Deputy Chief HAGS.
(6) Lieutenant General Dimitrios Mpikos (Reg. Nr.: 44570) is appointed Commanding General, C Army Corps/NRDC-GR.
(7) Major General Konstantinos Floros (Reg. Nr.: 44620) is appointed Chief of Staff, Hellenic National Defence General Staff.
(8) Major General Nikolaos Manolakos (Reg. Nr.: 44623) is appointed Commanding General, Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands.
b. HELLENIC NAVY
(1) Vice Admiral Ioannis Pavlopoulos HN (Reg. Nr.: 1719) is appointed Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet.
(2) Vice Admiral Alexandros Diakopoulos HN (Reg. Nr.: 1764) is appointed Commandant, National Defence College.
(3) Rear Admiral (Eng) Nikolaos Kafetsis HN (Reg. Nr.: M-703) is appointed Commander, Hellenic Navy Logistics Command.
c. HELLENIC AIR FORCE
(1) Lieutenant General (HAF) Georgios Mplioumis (Reg. Nr.: 13076) is appointed Chief of Hellenic Tactical Air Force.
(2) Lieutenant General (HAF) Nikolaos – Dimitrios Christopoulos (Reg. Nr.: 13074) is appointed Deputy Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff.
(3) Major General (HAF) Themistoklis Mpourolias (Reg. Nr.: 14033) is appointed Commander, Air Force Support Command.
Lieutenant General (HAF) Christoforos Smyrlis (Reg. Nr.: 13130) will remain Hellenic Air Force General Staff Inspector General.
