The Deputy Minister of National Defence Fofi Gennimata represented Greece in the great military parade held in Paris on July 14.
France’s National Holiday had a double symbolism this year, since except the celebration of the French Revolution and the Storming of the Bastille, the beginning of the I World War (1914-1918), which French people call “Great War” was also commemorated.
For the commemoration of the hundred years from the first world conflict, delegations were invited to Paris from approximately 80 countries that participated in the I World War, among which was also Greece.
