The Minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, accompanied by the Chief/HNDGS Konstantinos Floros attended the Memorial Service in memory of the fallen raiders in Kavouri, on Sunday 28 May 2023.
After the ceremony, the Minister made the following statement:
“With a memorial service, a last roll call, speeches, wreath-laying and our National Anthem, we paid tribute to the fallen members of the Sacred Band and Raiders. Their sacrifice is a sacred trust for the younger
ones. We thank them, we honour them and we promise to carry on the effort for a strong Greece. Their memory is eternal!”
