The Minister of National Defence, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, attended the official welcoming of His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Volos.
The Minister of National Defence participated in the official welcoming ceremony at the Metropolitan Church of Aghios Nikolaos, which was also attended by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Mr. Christos Kittas, the Regional Governor of Thessaly Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, the Mayor of Volos Mr. Achilleas Beos and the Reverend Metropolitan of Dimitrias and Almyros Ignatios.
Next, the Minister observed the inauguration ceremony of the Municipal Theatre of Volos, officiated by the Ecumenical Partiarch.
In a post at the social media, Mr. Stefanis points out:
“It is an honour and blessing to welcome the First among equals, His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, at the historic city of Volos. His presence gives us strength and light to firmly follow the path of faith”.
