On September 11 2015, the Minister of National Defence Ioannis Giagkos, accompanied by the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Vassilios Tellidis and the Commander of the D Army Corps Lieutenant General Iosif Mavrakis, visited the HQs of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division and the 50 Mechanised Brigade, where he was briefed on the mission and activity of the Formations; he also visited the 130 Combat Group in Limnos island, where he met with the Air Force personnel and delegates from the Hellenic Army and Navy Units on the island.
