The Minister of National Defence Ioannis Giagkos, representing the government, attended the celebration for the 72nd Anniversary of the Liberation of Megisti Island on September 13, 2015, accompanied by the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis and the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Vasileios Tellidis.

Mr. Giagkos visited also the Missile Boat “BLESSAS” which patrols in this area and talked with members of the crew.

Defence Minister’s trip was completed by visiting the outposts on Strongyli and Rho islands.
