The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos had a telephone conversation, on Wednesday 1 June 2022, with the Defence Minister of Germany Mr. Christine Lambrecht, with whom he discussed the next steps in the implementation of the Agreement between Greece and Germany on Greece’s grant of BMP-1 type Armoured Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine, and their replacement with Marder type Armoured Fighting Vehicles of German manufacture.

The two Ministers agreed to remain in regular contact in order to ensure the rapid implementation of the agreement.
