The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos will go tomorrow to the island of Kos, where he will attend the celebration for the unveiling of the marble busts of the 3 heroes fallen at Imia, within the courtyard of Kos Island Naval Station.
The Minister of National Defence will also make a tour to military units of Kos Island, to guard posts and to Military Guards of borderline islands.
Specifically, Mr. Panagiotopoulos will visit the HQ of 80th Higher National Guard Battalions Command and the 282 National Guard Battalion on the island of Kos, the military guards on islands Kalolimnos and Farmakonissi, as well as the Gunboat “MACHITIS” and the patrol boat “ANTONIOU”, where he will have discussions with the personnel.
The Minister of National Defence will also attend the Field Exercise “Aghios Fokas”.
The Minister of National Defence will be accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Michail Kostarakos, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Athanassios Tselios, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General (AF) Evangelos Tournas and the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis.
