Defence Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos attends the celebrations on the Armed Forces’ Day

The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos attended today, Sunday 21 November 2021, the Doxology held at St. Dionysius the Areopagite’s Church, in the context of the celebration on the occasion of the Armed Forces’ Day, representing the Government, and the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou also attended the Doxology, and afterwards laid a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. The celebration was also attended by the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Laloussis, and the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN, representatives from political parties, supreme and higher personnel of the Armed Forces and the Security Corps, the Regional Governor of Attica, representatives from the Municipality of Attica, former Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs of the Armed Forces, retired Officers of the Armed Forces and Attachés of foreign Embassies.
