The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos attended today, Thursday 7 July 2022, the oath-taking ceremony of the new Air Force Second Lieutenants, Class 2022, which took place at the Hellenic Air Force Academy facilities, at Tatoi.

The swords were presented to the new Air Force Officers by the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Konstantinos Tassoulas, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Laloussis, the Chief/HNGS Vice-Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias, and representatives of political parties, of the Regional and Local Government, and of the Church.

67 Second Lieutenants, Class 2022, graduated from the Academy (35 Flying Personnel, 25 Engineers and 7 Tactical Air Controllers), among which 61 from Greece (53 men and eight women), five from Cyprus and one from Jordan.
