The Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos met today with the Ambassador of Spain to Greece, Mr. ENRIQUE VIGUERA RUBIO, with whom he discussed matters pertaining to further enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the defence and defence-technical fields.

Moreover, the two men discussed issues of cooperation in the context of European defence initiatives, as well as the challenges of security and stability in the broader East Mediterranean region. In particular, the role of Operation “IRINI” was highlighted.
