The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos met today, Friday 26 February 2021, with the Governor of Thessaly Region Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, regarding the inclusion of the procurement for two Bailey bridges, budgeted at 1.3 million Euros, to the reinforcement of the NSRF 2014 – 2020 for Thessaly. The beneficiary of the project is the Ministry of National Defence, while the Operation and Maintenance Body is the Hellenic Army General Staff.
The two bridges will be kept at Military Units in Thessaly and may be used to restore accessibility in case of extreme weather events.
