The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos had a meeting, on Friday, 25 February 2022, with the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Sergii Shutenko, in which they discussed the developments in Ukraine.

The Minister underscored that the respect of International Law, territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of every state, as well as the prohibition of the threat or use of force, as stipulated in the chart of the United Nations, are fundamental principles for Greece.

Mr. Panagiotopoulos also stressed that Greece stands by the side of the Greek community of Ukraine.
