The Minister of Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos had a farewell meeting, on Wednesday 01 June 2022, with the outgoing ambassador of Israel to Athens Mr. Yiosi Amrani, with whom he discussed the developments in Ukraine, as well as the challenges for security and stability in Eastern Mediterranean.
During the meeting, they pointed out the importance of the strategic defence relation between Greece and Israel, which is at an exceptionally high level for the security and defence of both countries, as well as for the stability and the prosperity in the wider region.
The common will of both countries to further reinforce their mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of armament programmes was also underscored.
