Οn the sidelines of the Council of the EU’s Foreign Affairs-Defense ministerial meeting in Brussels, it took place the quadrilateral meeting of the Ministers of Defence of Greece Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, France Sebastien Lécornu, Italy Mr. Guido Crosetto and Cyprus, Mr. Charalambos Petrides, at the quadrilateral meeting, the results of the recently conducted aeronautical exercise EUNOMIA 3-22 were presented, and the possibility to enhance cooperation between the participating countries was discussed. The need to coordinate and cooperate so as to tackle threats and security challenges in the broader East Mediterranean region was highlighted, by increasing co-training and enhancing military cooperation between the countries. The need to respect International Law and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) was also underlined.
