The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros attended, on Friday 14 May 2021, the celebrations for the 101st anniversary of the liberation of Alexandroupoli which is held in the presence of HE the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The Minister attended the doxology at the Church of St. Nicholas and the memorial service at the monument to Domna Visvyzi, celebrated by His Eminence the Metropolitan bishop of Alexandroupoli, Traianoupoli and Samothrace Anthimos.
Afterwards, Mr. Panagiotopoulos accompanied the President of the Republic to the City Hall of Alexandroupoli where a meeting was held with the Mayor Mr. Ioannis Zamboukis.
