The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos pays an official visit to Israel, further to an invitation by his Israeli counterpart Mr. Naftali Bennett.
On Wednesday, 15 January 2020, Mr. Panagiotopoulos visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, where he laid a wreath to the memory of the Holocaust victims.
Afterwards, he visited the Old City of Jerusalem where he venerated in the Church of Resurrection, where the Holy Sepulchre is located, the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Baptist and Theotokos’ Tomb in Gethsemane.
On Thursday, 16 January 2020, Mr. Panagiotopoulos will meet with Israel’s Minister of Defence Mr. Naftali Bennett, and afterwards he will have consecutive meetings with representatives of the Israeli Defence Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) and the Defence Research and Development Directorate (MAFAT).
