The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikos Dendias attended today, Thursday 29 June 2023, the oath taking ceremony of new AF 2nd Lieutenants, Class 2023, which was held at the Hellenic Air Force Academyn in Tatoi.
The swords to the new AF Officers were awarded by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Aggelos Choudeloudis and the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymoussis HN, and delegations from the Security Forces, the political parties, the regional, local and religious authorities.
86 2nd Lieutenants (47 pilots, 15 aircraft technicians, two telecommunications-electronics technicians and 15 air defence controllers), among which 68 from Greece, nine from the Republic of Cyprus, two from Bosnia-Herzegovina, four from Jordan and three from Montenegro, graduated from Class 2023 of the Hellenic Air Force Academy.
